The Southern California Center for Latino Health

This regional Center examines disparities in obesity, type 2 diabetes, fatty liver disease and dyslipidemia in Latino children and families and works with community partners to develop, test and disseminate effective prevention and treatment approaches. The Center includes 4 linked projects including one at CHLA (co-directed by myself), one at USC, one at UC San Diego and one at Kaiser Permanente, as well as support for a methods core, an Investigator Development Core and a Community Engagement Core.

Funding 

Total funding for this Center is $24.5m for 5 years from October 2021 through June 2026.
